Welcome to the website for Mission Aviation Promotions!

August 20 and 21, 2016

Mission Aviation Promotions was created to enable the continuance of the Smoketown Aviation Fair. (It takes the place of Missions Fest Lancaster for that purpose.)

We are happy to host the Mission Aviation Fair the third weekend of August each year at the Smoketown Airport. This fair showcases the vital technical aspects of missions that make it possible for ministry in the remote areas of the world. Some of the most inaccessible areas depend greatly on aviation support. It takes a team of well-qualified pilots, mechanics, communications and IT staff, medical teams and other infrastructure support to reach and minister to people in those areas. Those who do this vital work are often unnoticed and unappreciated. We aim to promote awareness of unique opportunities to encourage and participate with those special servants of the Lord who minister with their technical abilities.

People find that just coming to the Airport and seeing lots of aircraft is exciting, not to mention that it’s all connected with serving the Lord in missions!

Goals and purposes of Mission Aviation Promotions:

  • Demonstrate how Aviation and Technology speed up mission efforts in fulfilling Matthew 28:19
  • Encourage people to get involved: pray, give or go
  • Give children a positive, fun exposure to Christian faith and missions
  • Provide mission aviation agencies exposure to the greater Lancaster community
  • Give mission agencies opportunities to recruit interested people
  • Encourage local churches to network for the promotion of missions and give them a practical exciting event to aid their missions program

The 2015 Mission Aviation Fair was held August 14-16.

The theme for the 2015 Aviation Fair was . . .

“Promoting the Spread of the Gospel through Aviation and Technology”

  • We thank the Lord for safety, both at the Fair and for those who traveled from a distance.

  • We're thankful for the special speakers who came to share about their ministry.

  • We're glad that the 22 Exhibiting organizations were able to have good interaction with the attendees.

  • Although it was VERY hot, we thank the Lord for good weather for flying and for outdoor activities. (And perhaps the hot, humid weather might remind us that many of our missionary friends serve in tropical climates with heat and humidity much like we experienced.)

  • We appreciate so much the good work of our Coordinating Team.

  • And we're thankful for the many volunteers who served in the various slots to enable the Fair to function.

We trust the Lord for eternal results from the Fair.

We had some technical difficulties at first so there is a hum on some of the recordings.
Fortunately the ones of Stacy Varghese & Isik Abla don’t have the hum.

"Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age."

Mathew 28:19-20
